What should I wear?
The attire for Saturday's events are 'dressy casual'. While we hope guests will avoid jeans, your comfort is the most important thing to consider. Weather permitting, both the ceremony and meal will take place outside, so please feel free to cater your outfit accordingly! Also, bringing a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug repellant are all great ideas. The outdoor paths are dirt, so we recommend avoiding stilettos and instead choosing shoes with a broader heel.
Can I bring someone not included on my invitation?
We are so sorry, but we only have capacity to include guests whose names are written on the invitation. While we wish we could include so many more people we love, we are limited by the capacity of the venue and our budget, and have planned meals accordingly. Our sincere apologies!
What is the setting of the wedding ceremony?
The wedding ceremony will be held in an outdoor ampitheater called Walden Ampitheater at Camp Newaygo. The ampitheater looks out at beautiful Pickerel Lake. A significant set of wooden stairs lead guests to rows of wooden benches under the shade of the forest. Guests can take a golf cart ride to and from the ampitheater if desired.
What are the accommodations for those with mobility concerns?
Camp Newaygo provides multiple golf carts to continuously drive guests with mobility concerns to different locations on site. The wedding ceremony is located in an outdoor amphitheater, Walden Ampitheater, which has a significant set of stairs without a railing. For those comfortable walking down these stairs, we will have ushers to assist guests with an arm for extra support. All guests who prefer a golf cart ride to and from the amphitheater will be accommodated.
Where do I go when I arrive at Camp Newaygo?
Camp Newaygo staff will be stationed along the main driveway to guide guests to open parking spots. Once you've parked, you can make your way to Lang Lodge, where you can talk to camp staff, receive a paper map, use the bathrooms, and receive directions to Walden Ampitheater, where the wedding ceremony will take place. We recommend arriving no later than 3:30 pm on Saturday to ensure enough time to get settled before the ceremony begins at 4:00 pm.
What kind of food will we eat?
There will be gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and meat options for both cocktail hour appetizers and dinner on Saturday. If you have additional dietary concerns, please include this info in your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate!
Since this is an outdoor wedding, can I bring my dog?
While Eva and Will are crazy about animals, especially dogs, we're so sorry to share that dogs are not allowed at Camp Newaygo.
Is there a way to sign the guestbook if I can't attend the wedding?
We would love to include a message from every guest in our guestbook, regardless of attendance! When you RSVP online, please note your guestbook message, and we will handwrite it into our guestbook with your name. Thank you so much!
