There are so many options for activities in the Carlsbad/San Diego area. I have many of those listed below! I also wanted to mention that included in the resort fee while staying at Cape Rey, you can rent beach cruisers (for 90 minutes at a time), and utilize beach packs which include beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas! Should you want to venture outside the resort, there is a shuttle service at the hotel that will take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius of Cape Rey.
