Below are travel options:
For those who may not know, Carlsbad is about 30 miles (30 minutes depending on traffic and your driving style) North of San Diego. Due to this, I would highly recommend flying into San Diego International Airport. You will have more flight options and it's the closest commercial airport. Once you land, you can Uber/Lyft although this may be expensive especially depending on traffic and surge times. You can also rent a car so below I have listed the rental car center at SD airport. You can also take the Amtrak (train) but you will need to Uber/Lyft from the airport to this train depot, its about 10 minutes away. The train operates 5am-11:30pm every day, every 15 minutes M-F and every 30 minutes weekends/holidays. However the only caveat with this option is the closest stop to Carlsbad will be in Oceanside which is about 20 minutes North of Carlsbad...so you will still need to Uber/Lyft back South once you get off at the station.
Another option would be to fly into John Wayne Airport (SNA; also called Orange County airport). However this airport is about 57 miles North of Carlsbad. There are likely less and maybe more expensive flights in/out of this airport. Plus, I do not know of any options for travel from this airport to the venue other than Uber/Lyft or rental car.
Another option would be to fly into McClellan-Palomar Airport however it is not currently open to commercial flying. AKA you would need to charter your own plane which I am not sure any of us can/would do.
Many of you will also likely be driving across the state or multiple states, therefore you will obviously just drive straight to the venue. There is self parking for $30/night or valet for $40/night in a parking garage on site at Cape Rey. If you are staying at a different hotel or driving in the day of, hotel parking is free on wedding day!
Below are hotel options closest to Cape Rey, including the venue:
There is always an option of doing Airbnb/HomeToGo/VRBO
