It all started on Labor Day weekend 2022, when friends (and maybe a little bit of good timing) brought us together at a gathering. Sparks flew immediately — or perhaps it was just a great conversation about the Powerpuff Girls — but either way, something clicked.Just when things were getting good… I packed my bags and left for Italy for a month and a half. You’d think that might’ve been the end — but nope! Most people might’ve called that a plot twist, but we didn’t miss a beat. We kept talking almost every single day. Between time zones, cappuccinos, and bad Wi-Fi, our connection somehow only grew stronger.When I got back, everything felt natural, like we’d known each other forever. By December 2022, we made it official — and the adventures began.Our first trip together was to New Hampshire, where we decided to go snowboarding with some friends and family, which was either very brave or very questionable. Let’s just say there were more laughs (and falls, especially for Mariana) than graceful runs down the slopes.Then came Nicaragua, where he met my family and got a true taste of my world — literally and figuratively. From there, the travel bug bit us hard(Mostly to Evan - Mariana had been bitten years before). We explored Miami, Colorado’s mountains, Arizona’s deserts, New York’s chaos, Montana's winter, and even crossed oceans to Sweden and London, accompanied by friends and family who made all of these places special to us.But the biggest adventure of all came on September 1st, 2025 (also Labor Day weekend), in Ecuador. Surrounded by breathtaking mountains (and yes, llamas, kinda), he got down on one knee and proposed. He knew I loved traveling — and llamas — so of course he found a way to include both. It was the most perfect “us” moment imaginable.From that Labor Day weekend to now, it’s been a whirlwind of laughter, plane tickets, and endless love. And somehow, this feels like just the beginning. ❤️✈️🐾-------------Nuestra HistoriaTodo comenzó el fin de semana del Día del Trabajo del 2022, cuando entre amigos (y quizá un poco de casualidad) nos encontramos en una fiesta. Hubo chispas inmediatas — o tal vez solo fue una muy buena conversación acerca de las chicas superpoderosas — pero algo hizo clic.Justo cuando las cosas se estaban poniendo buenas… yo hice las maletas y me fui a Italia por un mes y medio. Podría haber sido el final, pero no fue así. Parecía un giro sacado de una película romántica, pero no dejamos que la distancia nos separara. Seguimos hablando todos los días, entre zonas horarias diferentes, capuchinos y Wi-Fi dudoso. De alguna manera, nuestra conexión solo se hizo más fuerte.Cuando regresé, todo se sintió natural, como si nos conociéramos de toda la vida. En diciembre de 2022, lo hicimos oficial — y ahí comenzaron las aventuras.Nuestro primer viaje fue a New Hampshire, donde decidimos ir a hacer snowboard… una decisión muy valiente (o muy cuestionable). Digamos que hubo más risas (y caídas, sobre todo Mariana) que bajadas elegantes por la montaña.Luego vino Nicaragua, donde él conoció a mi familia y pudo probar un poquito de mi mundo — literalmente y en todo sentido. Desde entonces, el insecto viajero nos picó fuerte (Bueno a Evan, porque Mariana ya hace rato que la había picado). Hemos explorado restaurantes en Miami, las montañas de Colorado, los desiertos de Arizona, el caos de Nueva York, el invierno de Montana y hasta cruzamos el océano para visitar Suecia y Londres, con amigos y familia que han hecho cada uno de estos lugares muy especiales. Pero la aventura más grande llegó el 1 de septiembre de 2025 (que casualmente también fue en Labor Day Weekend), en Ecuador. Rodeados de montañas (y sí, llamas 🦙a la distancia), él se arrodilló y me pidió que me casara con él. Eligió Ecuador porque sabe cuánto amo viajar — y las llamas — así que, por supuesto, encontró la forma perfecta de unir ambas cosas.Desde aquel fin de semana del Día del Trabajo hasta hoy, ha sido un torbellino de risas, boletos de avión y muchísimo amor. Y lo mejor de todo… es que esto apenas comienza. ❤️✈️🐾
