Elk Falls Provincial Park
5.5 km from Downtown Campbell River, Elk Falls is a popular provincial park on Vancouver Island that is at the end of a short, well-groomed trail. Worth the trip for the suspension bridge.
Lower Myra Falls is at the south end of Buttle Lake in Strathcona Park about 1hr 20 mins drive from Campbell River. Once there, you take a 1km trail to the falls & there are several options to view the different levels of the waterfall.
There are lots of spots to explore in Strathcona park. Obviously weather dependent..
In downtown Campbell River, the Discovery Fishing Pier overlooks Discovery Passage. People fish off the pier and sometimes whales or dolphins come splashing by.
