June marks the beginning of the summer heat, with long, sunny days and high temps. Usually, the heat isn't unpleasant and doesn't have the humidity that can make it so hard to enjoy July and August on the island. These are the longest days of the year, with sunset as late as 9 pm.

What should I wear to the Wedding?
It is well known that Italians are renowned for their sense of style and impeccable dress sense, so it's only natural that us *stranieri* want to make a good impression but remain as comfortable as possible, so 'What should you wear as a guest to a destination wedding in Italy?'
Here are 3 top tips according to our Capri Wedding planner:
1- AVOID BLACK AND WHITE
Black is associated with mourning in Italy, and besides that, attending an outdoor wedding in the middle of summer in Italy (especially the Amalfi coast/Capri) will have you feeling very out of place, and hot.
White is traditionally reserved for the Bride, However Fallon has no problems with guests that want to include the colors white, silver, champagne in their outfits.
2- CHOOSE LIGHT WEIGHT, ELEGANT CLOTHING
When attending a summer wedding, especially in Capri, it's going to be hot, opt for lighter fabric and nothing with dark colors that will absorb the heat. Also, nothing too tight, Italians have a more formal/classic style so leave the short/tight dress at home. Italians tend to choose longer dresses for formal occasions as they are considered more elegant.
For men, go for a linen suit. Italian tradition dictates that men should always wear a suit, however our dress code is more relaxed, and tie is optional. A pair of slacks and jacket is suitable for gents at our wedding.
3-WEAR APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR
Please beware that Capri is mostly walking and to get to the wedding venue you will have to walk. We do not suggest un-fashionable shoes, but please consider a fashionable pair of wedges or sandals or a lower heel that you will be able to navigate the cobblestone steps with.
Alternatively, feel free to stash a pair of sandals in your purse to change into.

What should I pack?
All you need is summer clothes: short sleeves and pants, sandals, and—obviously—your bathing suit! Don't forget to throw in a light jacket or wrap for the evenings, when temperatures can dip. Many restaurants and clubs require long pants for men in the evening, button down suggested.
Capri restaurants have an elevated casual chic dress code.
There are NO CARS within the town of Capri, so you will be walking to most venues. Pack comfortable walking shoes and/or sandals. Heels are not recommended.
What to do in Capri - Beach Clubs
Beach clubs are highly recommended, and book out in advance, so if you are looking to visit a beach club on any day other than June 6th, plan ahead! The famous “La Fontelina” books out far in advance. Da Luigi is another great option but either prepare to arrive by boat or plan to take a long walk down (and back up!)
What to do in Capri- Boat rental
Capri has two ports- the main marina and the marina piccola on the south side of the island. Small boats can be rented on the island and pickups can be arranged at various locations. Many beach clubs and some venues are best reached by boat.
Capri has several grottos that are worth visiting, alternatively taking a small boat from marina piccola to visit the famous faraglioni rocks is a must do!
What to do in Capri - Shopping
Fallon’s favorite pastime, and Capri certainly does not disappoint. High end boutiques such as Gucci, Chanel, Versace, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Moschino, Saint Laurent, Missoni, Hermés, Pucci, Balenciaga, and Audemars Piguet are all found along the famous Via Camarelle.
Within the town are charming local boutiques with resort style apparel, ceramics, the famous Capri sandals and so much more.
How to get around Capri?
Once you arrive by ferry to Capri, you have several options to reach your hotel.
You will disembark the ferry and be greeted by luggage porters, we highly suggest you give your luggage to the porters and allow them to bring your luggage to your hotel/accommodation. There are NO CARS in Capri town, and even if you take a taxi to the town center, you will be stuck dragging your suitcase up and down cobble stones to reach your hotel. (It’s a huge pain and not to mention you will be disturbing the peace.)
The luggage porters have a skinny mechanical trolley that can squeeze through the alleys and will have your luggage to you within an hour or so. Let them take it!
Now you are free to either 1) walk (it’s a long walk uphill, and after the long journey not recommended)
2) take the Funicular (cable car that takes you from the main port/marina to to town center) or 3) take a taxi up the winding hills to the town center.
Once you reach the town center, however you will have to walk to your accommodation. Everything within the Capri town area is pretty close and getting lost is a pleasure as everything is so beautiful. Be sure to stop along the way for a gelato or granita to freshen up.
Speaking of luggage porters: be on the lookout, they seem to have the right of way, even in a narrow alleyway and they are all on a mission to get hotel guests their luggage, so be prepared to move quickly out of the way should you encounter one in an alleyway!
