If you ask the bride and groom, this is the best burger joint in Texas. Don't be fooled by the exterior, this hole-in-the wall spot will leave you ruined for all other Texas-style burgers. The best part about this place? It is Zabiha Halal! If you're open to suggestions, Fatima's order is the Tex-Mex and Mohid's is the Downtown Richardson with a side of loaded fries.
One of the oldest, and arguably best, Halal Thai restaurant in DFW has multiple locations including one that is conveniently a 5 minute drive away from the wedding venue. Noodle Wave is long standing favorite of Fatima's and her family and friends. If you have some time to kill and are feeling hungry, we recommend the Crispy Chicken Green Curry, the Mongolian Beef, and the Tempura Salad.
If you're looking for a cup of coffee that looks as good as it tastes, Escape360 is Fatima and Mohid's go-to! The dining options here aren't bad either, and this establishment is fully Zabiha Halal.
Alhamdullilah, in DFW we are spoiled for choice in terms of masjids. If you are looking for a place to pray, the East Plano Islamic Center is Fatima's childhood masjid and only a 10 minute drive from her house.
If you are looking for an option closer to the venue, McKinney Masjid is a very warm and welcoming place.
DFW is home to (in Fatima's opinion) the best Six Flags Park in the country. If you're trying to beat the heat, check out their water park: Hurricane Harbor.
If you are looking to experience what Texas has to provide outside of Dallas city life, the Fort Worth Stockyards are a must-see. There is a cattle-drive that happens twice daily as well as many other attractions.
I know what you might be thinking, but this is not your average science museum. We have yet to visit a museum as interactive, entertaining, and exciting as this one. Fatima's parents were season-ticket holders for many years, and they can confirm that this is a museum your littles will be begging to come back to.
Watters Creek is a great shopping center with lots of food options as well. The village is centered around a fountain and park, and is a great place to take a scenic stroll, do some shopping, and grab a bite to eat.
Like Watters Creek, Legacy West is full of great dining, shopping, and entertainment options and isn't too far from the venue either!
If you are looking to hit up a mall while you are here, NorthPark Mall is the best that DFW has to offer! Being located in the heart of uptown Dallas also makes it a quick drive to any other attractions you are trying to see within the city.
If you vibe with pie, Emporium has some of the best slices in Texas. The bride's personal favorite is the Smooth Operator.
If you're looking for a late-night sweet treat, Bigdash has great baklava, kunafa, and ice cream and is open till 1 am.
