UPDATE: The venue asks guests do not wear stilettos as they damage the grounds and you could hurt yourself. If you wish to wear stilettos, please make sure you get the heel protectors so you're not digging your heels into the earth! You can find clear ones easily on Amazon for cheap and they protect you and your shoes ;)

WEATHER UPDATE: I will keep updating as we get closer. Current forecast so far is predicting scattered showers early morning, temps ranging from 40-55, cloudy, and possible sprinkling at night. Please be sure to plan for the weather! It should stay dry for the festivities &#129310;&#129310; but it will likely be cold. Remember: EVERYTHING is outside&#10083;&#65039;

Our Wedding

Only took 11 Years and 11 Months, but we're finally here! lol We met in high school, my freshman year but his sophmore year. Geometry class to be exact. He was the smartypants who used to finish all his homework in class, UNTIL HE MET ME. I would talk his ear off in class to the point where he actually had homework to take home because I distracted him so much! Well, obviously we hung out more, I gave him a silly nickname, found out one of his best friends lived right down the street from me, and then we spent the summer hanging out at said best friend's house. The next year, I never saw him on campus. We didn't have any classes together and apparently hung out in different places so we just never ran into each other. The year after that, he reaches out to me over FB IM, totally out of the blue, and asks me to Winter Formal. I say yes, but not right away because, so weird, I haven't seen him in a whole year?! But I do say yes and it becomes our first date (1/23/2010). Junior year for me, Senior year for him. He graduates and goes away for college, but we talk EVERY NIGHT. He sends me roses for our first anniversary. After I graduate, I follow him down to Sunny San Diego, and we've lived together ever since! Acquired 2 cat babies whom we love very much. Moved around a bunch. Finished school, started careers, and finally ready for our next chapter! I got the ring for Christmas 2021, but not that day. Christmas was small and short this year, so unfortunately we didn't get to share the moment with anyone except my grandparents since we were staying with them. Now we've had our 12th anniversary and 2022 is our year to be engaged! Ready to be married 2023 and on.

My party is made up of: my girlfriends from CPP and Drew, my best friend from my time in SD community college! I can't imagine SD without Drew and his wife Kate. No one knows beer, board games, and great food like they do (they know all the best spots)! And I couldn't get through school without my girls! We all studied and suffered together to get to where we are now and I'm so proud to have them all by my side again. I love them all so much!

Things to Do

Registry

First things first, We know our date is "Star Wars Day," but that is NOT why we picked it. Our date was picked to be numerically pleasing. Our dating anniversary is 1/23/10, which makes me think of a little kid excitingly skipping count in hide-and-seek: "1-2-3-10! Here I come!" I liked the idea of sticking with a numbers theme and our date almost perfectly counts backwards (5-4-2-3). Plus, I always knew I wanted a May wedding anyways because: "April showers bring May flowers!" And I don't do well in hot or cold weather, so spring is perfect! lol Now, on to more important questions.

Join us for dinner after rehearsal, or don't, completely optional to those invited. We chose the Cafe as a cheaper option that can hold a large group, but we unfortunately cannot pay everyone's way so come if you like, but be prepared to pay for your own dinner.

Why the survey?
Simply put, we want to make sure the Save the Dates made it to the right addresses! (and to know who is interested in physically attending our celebration so we can order the appropriate number of invitations and assure we stay in our min-max range for our venue.) Please note: This is NOT your RSVP, that will come later with the invitations.
 
Do I have to reply to the survey even if you know I&#8217;m attending?
Yes. Please confirm your invitation. We need to know the addresses we have are correct to send invitations to later on.
 
Can&#8217;t I just wait to RSVP?
Please reply to the survey anyways, as this will help us ensure our guest range, order the appropriate amount of invitations, and will give us a better idea of who is as excited for us as we are! &#10084;&#65039;
