First of all, we’ve learned a few tricks about booking flights and want to share them with you! When tickets are first released, prices tend to be high, but they often drop after a little while before gradually increasing again as the travel date approaches. So, we recommend keeping an eye on flights rather than rushing to buy them immediately. We'll also be on the lookout for good deals and will share any we find with you!
When searching for flights, be sure to use incognito mode on your browser to prevent websites from tracking your preferred travel dates and inflating prices based on your interest.
We recommend to use www.flygresor.se to scan for tickets. However, when purchasing it can be beneficial to purchase directly from the flight operator. For you non-swedes, we trust you know a reasonable flight comparison site for your country.

Below we will provide some information on the airports which you can look at to find a good flight.
Airports:
Faro
Faro is the nearest airport to Lagos. SAS and Norwegian offer direct flights from Arlanda to Faro, typically twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with one morning and one afternoon flight. Currently, only the afternoon flights for September 2025 are available, but we hope the morning options will be released soon, as they usually are.
If you travel from Copenhagen, Ryanair flies directly to Faro with very good prices.
If you are in London before the trip, you can also find some cheap flights from London to Faro.
From Faro airport, you will need to rent a car, take a cab or shuttle service from the airport to Lagos, which takes around 40 minutes. We recommend to book Ttaxi (https://www.faroairporttransfers.me/) if you wish to take a cab to get from Faro to Lagos. They have larger cars that you can go with a group for a reasonable price per person.
Lisbon
Lisbon is another option, located about 3 hours from Lagos by car or 3-4 hours by train or FlixBus. If you choose FlixBus, we recommend departing from Lisbon city rather than the airport for a faster trip. Although farther from Lagos than Faro, Lisbon might offer more flight options if you're looking for specific dates or better prices. Plus, it’s a great chance to explore Lisbon's charm before the wedding!
Porto
Porto is further from Lagos, compared to Faro and Lisbon, but it can be good to be aware that there are sometimes good flights to Porto from Stockholm, and separate flights from Porto to Faro. It can provide beneficial prices and alternative flight dates if you wish to travel on other days than available at the Faro and Lisbon airports. It is also a great destination if you wish to do some touristing before the wedding.
