This is where Forest Gump ran in the movie, like the actual site. There is a wonderful tour that is included with the ticket cost. It has a fudge shop and a beautiful museum and a small zoo of native animals as you go up the mountain. Then at the top, you will get to see where Misael and I went on our first real date once COVID-19 lifted. There is a bridge that's a mile above ground and it is nicknamed the Singing Bridge as when the wind blows the bridge whistles. It used to be a wooden bridge and be called the swinging bridge, so I think metal and singing is an improvement.
This is the place where weird stuff happens, such as water flowing up instead of down, and where your swing will swing you instead of you swinging it. This is what Misael, and I did before we headed off to what I now know was our engagement! It's a beautiful place with a Native American Museum attached to it, as well as the best soda shop. It has both of our childhood favorites, Jones Soda. So, if you visit, drink one for us.
Great place if you brought the kiddos or just want to have some mindless fun!
This is a wonderful thing Misael and I always go back to do when we visit this area. We've come here for all of our anniversaries! (well minus the 4th one when we got engaged) This is a fast but it's definitely exciting! We can't recommend it enough! And when you're done, right next door is a very cool soap shop and then a souvenir shop where Misael purchased a racoon tail hat thing that he still has to this day!
