Davis and Floie first crossed paths at South Forsyth High School. After graduation, fate brought them back together through a mutual friend, sparking a connection that couldn't be ignored. Davis went off to LSU, while Floie headed to GCSU. A few months later, Floie planned a trip to visit her friend in Louisiana. When she mentioned it to Davis, he eagerly asked her to extend her stay and visit him at LSU. She agreed, and that magical visit marked the beginning of their beautiful love story. Six years later, they are engaged &amp; live in Fort Worth, Texas with their mini Dachshund, Bandit!

Our Story

If you’re flying into Savannah, your final destination will be the SAV airport- welcome to the start of your coastal adventure!  Where should I stay?   The venue is located on beautiful Tybee Island, and we highly recommend staying on the island to make the most of your experience. The venue is affiliated with a sister company, Ocean Front Cottage, that offers charming beach house and condo rentals—perfect for a relaxing coastal getaway.    For those who prefer hotel accommodations we have hotel blocks at Hotel Indigo and Hilton Homewood suites both in Savannah near the iconic River Street. Savannah is just a short 25-minute drive from Tybee.  Savannah offers a vibrant atmosphere with plenty to see and do, including a lively nightlife—bars are open until 3 a.m.! If you’re staying in Savannah, you can easily take an Uber to Tybee, but please keep in mind that the road to the island is just two lanes, so plan your travel time accordingly.

Formal Attire:﻿ We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us!   Men A dark suit or tuxedo is appropriate. A black, navy, or charcoal gray suit is most traditional. Pair with a crisp dress shirt, a silk tie or bow tie, and leather dress shoes in black or brown. Optional to add a vest or cummerbund, a pocket square, and cufflinks for an added touch of elegance. Grooming should be neat and polished; avoid overly casual hairstyles or facial hair styles.   Women A floor-length gown or evening dress in a formal fabric like velvet, silk, satin, or lace. Black tie dresses don't have to be black. Other options include a women's tuxedo or formal jumpsuit. Pair with heels, dressy flats, or loafers. Hair and makeup should be refined and elegant. Please avoid whites, creams, and beige.

River Street Savannah Georgia

Did you know Savannah is considered one of the most haunted cities in the U.S. because of its dark and layered history? The city is built on old burial grounds, faced deadly yellow fever epidemics, and saw tragedy during the Civil War. Many historic homes, cemeteries like Bonaventure, and sites like the Sorrel-Weed House and Moon River Brewing Company are known for ghost sightings. Add in pirate lore, Prohibition crime, and Gullah spiritual traditions, and you get a city full of eerie energy and ghostly legends.

Tybee Island Beach

Old Fort Jackson is Georgia’s oldest brick fort, built in 1808 to protect Savannah. It was active during the War of 1812 and the Civil War, especially under Confederate control. Today, it’s a historic site with cannon firings and exhibits on military life.
