We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding with you in North Norfolk! To make things as easy as possible, we’ve put together some information. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

We highly recommend arriving in Norfolk on Friday, 25th July to enjoy the weekend, and because, in true chaotic fashion, we’ve scheduled our wedding on the first weekend of the school summer holidays (oops) and the same day as Norfolk’s inaugural Greasy Pole Competition (yes, that’s actually a thing). So, North Norfolk will be pumping. As a fairly rural area, taxis are limited, so it’s important to organize transport in advance to avoid any last-minute stress. If you need help or guidance, just give us a shout—we’re happy to assist! If you let us know where you're staying, we’ll also do our best to group people together to share cabs.

Getting to and from Norfolk

By Car

﻿Driving is the easiest option—our venue is fairly rural , so having a car will make life much simpler.

BY TRAIN

- From London King’s Cross to King’s Lynn (approx. 2 hours)- From London Liverpool Street to Sheringham via Norwich (approx. 3 hours) (Both options require a taxi ride at the end, so book ahead)

Getting to the windmill

We recommend pre-booking a taxi from your accommodation to Cley (taxi details below). If you prefer to drive, free parking is available at <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/NyrCSkfrcqSh9dyM7" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cley Village Car Park</a>, a 5-minute walk from the Windmill. You can also leave your car here overnight if needed.

From our Ceremony to Reception

After the ceremony, we’ve got you covered—transport is arranged to take everyone from Cley to our reception venue in Wiveton (just a 5-minute drive).

Getting home

If you're drinking (and let’s be honest, you probably are), please pre-book a taxi back to your accommodation at 10.30pm.

This is right next to the wedding ceremony and a 15 minute walk from the reception venue - the best bet for those without a car!

Self proclaimed 'posh BnB' in Holt - really sweet rooms! You will need to book a cab to get back to Holt (~10 min drive)

Wedding day timings

1:30 pm: Guests arrive and take their seats at Cley Windmill 2:00 pm: Wedding ceremony at Cley Windmill, followed by a drinks reception and canapés 4:00 pm: Transportation provided to Well Cottage in Wiveton for dinner, speeches, dancing, and fun 10:30 pm: Home time

For those that don't have to rush off on Sunday, we would love to come together for a beach walk / swim and drinks and snacks in <a href="https://g.co/kgs/mFmUtjq" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">The Dun Cow, Salthouse</a>. More details will be shared closer to the time.
