Estes Park is not far from Sylvan Dale, where you can visit Rocky Mountain National Park, Lake Estes, or the Stanley Hotel for a ghost tour. Estes Park has roughly 3,000 elk roaming around that will you likely see this time of year.

Denver is about an hour from the ranch. There are tons of great places to eat there, as well as the Denver Zoo (Franci's favorite), Aquarium, and Museum of Natural History.
