Reno-Tahoe International Airport
Distance from Lake Tahoe: North 51 mins (37.4 mi), South; 1 hr 6 mins (58.1 mi)
Why it’s worth flying into: Reno-Tahoe International Airport is the closest airport to Lake Tahoe. The Reno and Lake Tahoe airport isn’t a major airport, but it’s big enough, with plenty of options for rental cars and direct flights.

Location: Reno-Tahoe International Airport is in central Reno, NV (northeast of Lake Tahoe), just off Highway 380.
Rental Car Options: The Reno Airport has all the major car rental companies.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport
Fly into Reno, book a car, or if you happen to fly in at the right time book the bus (they only come every three hours), or you can Uber. Bus takes you to the State line and it's a 15 min drive from the wedding venue.
Sacramento International Airport
Distance from Lake Tahoe: North; 2 hr 4 min (120 mi), South; 2 hr 11 min (113 mi)
Why it’s worth flying into: It’s the closest major airport to Lake Tahoe and often cheaper than Reno Tahoe.
After the Reno Airport, the Sacramento Airport is the closest airport to Lake Tahoe. And unlike Reno-Tahoe, this is a much larger airport.
In addition to the relative closeness, this major airport is often cheaper and offers more direct flight options than Reno Tahoe.
