FAQs
Can I bring my children to the wedding?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is an adult-only event aside from immediate family and those in the wedding party.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to the limited capacity of the venue, we are only able to host those named on your invitation and RSVP.
When is the RSVP deadline?
April 1st, 2026 is the deadline for both event RSVPs and hotel block reservations.
Do I have to post back my RSVP or can I RSVP online?
You can do whichever is easier for you!

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?
Yes, there is a block of rooms reserved at the Surety Hotel under Magee-Hutcheson wedding. Please reserve your room no later than April 1st, 2026.

Will there be a shuttle to and from the hotel?
All events are being held at the hotel so there will be no need for a shuttle for wedding events. There is no shuttle available to the hotel from the airport.
What should I wear?
We request that all guest dress in cocktail attire. Shades of blue are preferred.
Guys think suits with a button-up shirt and tie.
Girls think dresses and nicer jumpsuits.
Please refrain from wearing any shades of white, ivory, or champagne. Please no jeans, T-shirts, shorts, or tennis shoes.
Where should I park?
The hotel offers valet parking and there are public parking garages nearby. For the day of there is also street parking available around the hotel.
What time should we arrive?
Please arrive for the ceremony no later than 3:45 PM.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?
We kindly ask that you refrain from taking any pictures throughout the ceremony and sharing them on your personal social pages. We have hired a very talented team (S/O Laura Wills Photography!) to capture our special day and we can't wait to share those images with you following the wedding.
What food will be served and what if have dietary restrictions?
Our dinner options are chicken and beef. If you have special dietary restrictions please note them on your RSVP.
What time is the evening reception scheduled to end?
The reception is scheduled to end at 11:00 PM. After party to follow!

What is the weather going to be like?
The weather in Iowa is famously tempermental. This time of year the weather isn't too hot and humid, but there may be a chance of rain. All events aside from cocktail hour will be held indoors.
