The venue is a “bring your own drink” establishment. If you would like to bring your own drinks, you are welcome to bring a personal cooler. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks like lemonade and water will be provided.

Our Wedding Story

Fred and I started dating in April of 2023. I was living in Sheridan, WY at the time and he was in Billings, MT (a short 2 hour drive). We were able to get to know each other well through long phone calls, and FaceTime, and on the weekends, we would travel to spend time with one another.Fast forward a few months and I decided to go back to South Dakota to be closer to family after my sister, Julia, had her first baby. Now Fred and I were five hours apart, but we decided we wanted to continue to pursue each other. We visited each other often, and we started meeting every few weeks with a marriage counselor to discuss our future goals and how we wanted to pursue a marriage to each other. This was so valuable for us and we established a great relationship with our counselor.After a year in Spearfish, I decided to make the move to Billings, Montana! I moved to Billings in July 2024 and we were so excited to be in the same town as each other. I got a job teaching middle school math and was coaching the girls basketball team when I noticed I was not feeling like myself. We found out we were expecting a little girl and our lives changed for the better!On November 9, 2024, Fred and I were married in Rapid City, SD by our marriage counselor surrounded by our immediate family. It was the perfect day.We knew that we wanted to have a big party that included our extended family and friends, but we decided to hold off until the arrival of our baby girl! We welcomed Maeve Evelynn on April 25, 2025. She is the best and we are in love with her!We are so grateful for all of the Lord’s blessings in our lives, and we couldn’t have asked for a better year. We hope you will join us in September to celebrate our marriage!

5:00pm Celebration Toast - The venue is a “Bring Your Own Beverages” venue. You are welcome to bring a cooler to put under your table or keep in your vehicle, but we will also have drinks available for you! 5:30pm Dinner - Qdoba catering 6:00/6:30pm First Dances and Speeches - Bride and Groom dance, Father/Daughter, and Mother/Son dance. Julia Bybee, Petsch Brothers, and Bride and Groom parent speeches to follow. 7:00pm Dance Floor Opens - Bring your dancing shoes and party pants! 11:00pm Closing Time - Safe travels and thank you for celebrating with us!

Spearfish City Campground is less than a 5 minute walk from the reception venue. It is a beautiful campsite with RV and camper hook up’s, as well as tent sites. My parents will be staying here over the reception weekend!

Where to Stay

Spearfish Canyon Golf Club is absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for something fun to do, we recommend grabbing a tee time!

There are so many awesome hikes in Spearfish Canyon. We recommend going up to Roughlock Falls or hiking Devils Bathtub.

One of our favorite places to visit is Deadwood, SD. There are great restaurants, events during the day, and casinos to check out!

Right next to our venue is the DC Booth Fish Hatchery. We love going there to walk around and feed the fish. It is located in the Spearfish City Park.

Fred and I golfed here once and had a great experience! It’s a beautiful course and they have a beer cart that will refill your drink needs!
