Fred and I started dating in April of 2023. I was living in Sheridan, WY at the time and he was in Billings, MT (a short 2 hour drive). We were able to get to know each other well through long phone calls, and FaceTime, and on the weekends, we would travel to spend time with one another.

Fast forward a few months and I decided to go back to South Dakota to be closer to family after my sister, Julia, had her first baby. Now Fred and I were five hours apart, but we decided we wanted to continue to pursue each other. We visited each other often, and we started meeting every few weeks with a marriage counselor to discuss our future goals and how we wanted to pursue a marriage to each other. This was so valuable for us and we established a great relationship with our counselor.

After a year in Spearfish, I decided to make the move to Billings, Montana! I moved to Billings in July 2024 and we were so excited to be in the same town as each other. I got a job teaching middle school math and was coaching the girls basketball team when I noticed I was not feeling like myself. We found out we were expecting a little girl and our lives changed for the better!

On November 9, 2024, Fred and I were married in Rapid City, SD by our marriage counselor surrounded by our immediate family. It was the perfect day.

We knew that we wanted to have a big party that included our extended family and friends, but we decided to hold off until the arrival of our baby girl! We welcomed Maeve Evelynn on April 25, 2025. She is the best and we are in love with her!

We are so grateful for all of the Lord’s blessings in our lives, and we couldn’t have asked for a better year. We hope you will join us in September to celebrate our marriage!
