Genna and Mike first met through mutual friends at Deloitte in 2015. Genna and Mike had several mutual friends prior to them meeting, and Genna had even been to Mike's house in the past prior to knowing Mike!

They were introduced by a colleague who asked them to work on a challenging task together. After multiple long days and late nights working on it together, they quickly learned how compatible they were. Conversations about work quickly turned into smiles and laughter, conversations about life, their friends, their ambitions, and much more. Genna and Mike had so much in common including their love for their families, their passion for their jobs, their senses of humor, and their life aspirations.

After dating for four years, Genna and Mike took a leap and bought their first home together in Falls Church, and brought home their adorable puppy Josie! They are so grateful for this life they have built together, and couldn't be more excited to see what the future will bring!

Mike proposed to Genna on Memorial Day weekend 2021 by taking her to her favorite Virginia winery. He secretly invited both families to the proposal, who spent the weekend together making memories in their new home. Needless to say, Genna said yes, and the rest is history!
