Gerald and Sean had their very first date getting ice cream desserts at Grand Central Station on March 5, 2018. It only took one meeting for both to know that this was the beginning of something special. Sean constantly asked "What else should I know about you" and had an unending list of questions wanting to know as much as possible. In return Ger had answers that only led to more questions and the cycle continued until it was time for the date to end.

Both knowing they wanted to meet again, no time was wasted in setting up another date 6 days away. 6 days however proved to be too long to wait. Sean waited only 4 before texting Gerald again to meet in downtown New York City. They spent their second meeting together talking late into the night only further proving what each already knew, that this could be something more. By the time their officially planned next date came around in which Gerald brought Sean to Tavern on the Green in Central Park each was smitten.

Flash forward numerous nights out, Broadway shows attended, and meeting of numerous new friends, Ger officially asked Sean to be his boyfriend in Dumbo, Brooklyn on the piers of the East River. With an instant "Yes!" response they took the first step of starting their proper partnership.

Over the next several years they shared each others lives taking numerous important steps together. The first trips to Ireland and Rhode Island to meet each others families, vacations full or creating unforgettable memories, and moving into Gerald's tiny apartment together all marked important milestones that led them to their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Edinburgh, Scotland.

It was on this trip Sean insisted they make the round-trip 13-hour venture to the Highlands as he stated one "must see Loch Ness and Nessie the sea monster". Gerald placating Sean as he usually does agreed and together they booked their trip north. While Nessie unfortunately went unseen something even more magical occurred. It was on this fateful day full of rain, snow, AND sunshine that Gerald got down on one knee and asked Sean to spend forever with him (proposing with a Taylor Swift themed "paper" ring as only Sean would want). Through his rather intense tears Sean answered "Yes!" and together they began their engaged life.

Both know how lucky they are to find each other in a world full of people looking for love. While relationships are full of work, compromise, and occasional sacrifices both like to think that there was a small amount of fate that brought the Ireland lad to America where he met the New England boy and neither could be happier.

They are both beyond ecstatic to have their friends and family here to witness and celebrate their wedding. They couldn't be more thankful!
