Walking Signal Hill is a must while you are in St. John's! It is the site of Cabot Tower which overlooks the harbour and St. John's. Quidi Vidi Village, or ‘ Kiddy Viddy’ or the gut ‘as known by locals, is a 5 minute drive from downtown St. Johns, is worth taking in!. It is a small fishing village, dating back to the 1600s, with fishing stages along the water, an Artisan Shop with local crafts, Quidi Vidi Brewery, an open air beer market with food vendors along with the very popular Mallard Cottage restaurant. The Cottage was built in the early 1800’s and is recognized as one of Canada’s National Historic Sites. A rare historic gem in the heart of our city!
