Our Wedding

Those of you who grew up with us at UNA know the FULL story. You also know that there is not enough space here for us to tell the whole story... Here is the Sparknotes version... Brody is from Decatur and went to UNA to study Geographic Information Science (GIS). He played basketball for UNA during his first year of school. Grace is from Cullman and went to UNA to study Elementary Education. Their paths crossed in Wesleyan Hall when they both were in class together in GE 111 - Weather and Climate with Dr. Koti. They were also both members of the Honors College. Their first date was in July 2017. They went to dinner at Sam's Sports Grill. Brody had the chicken fingers and fries, while Grace opted for the southwest salad. After dinner, they went to the Decatur Mall to the movie theater where they saw Dunkirk. This was also the night Grace met Brody's parents for the first time. Fast forward to the fall semester... Grace and Brody went to the Lambda Sigma Phi pajama date party. Later that night, they shared their first kiss. A week later, on October 21st, they officially started dating. In December 2017, Grace took a trip to Nashville with Brody's family. On that trip, she knew she loved Brody. BUT she didn't tell him yet. At the annual Bink Family Christmas, Brody met Grace's family for the first time. It wasn't until February 14, 2018 that Brody and Grace said "I love you" for the first time. Brody and Grace dated for the next 2.5 years and made many memories together. Some of those include date parties, formals, holidays with each other's families, day trips to new locations, and family beach vacations. Brody even got Grace to go hunting a few times. Let's just say Grace prefers fishing over hunting. Brody graduated from UNA in December 2019 with a degree in GIS. Grace graduated from UNA in May 2020 with a degree in Elementary Education K-6. They got engaged on August 1, 2020 in the Knight family sunflower field. Brody disguised it as family pictures but completely caught Grace by surprise. Shortly after graduating, Brody accepted a job at Cullman Electric Cooperative where he enjoys flying drones and keeping all maps up to date for the Co-op. Grace accepted a teaching position immediately after graduating and is now teaching third grade at Hayden Elementary. Brody and Grace just recently bought their first house in Cullman and will live there come November with their one year old golden doodle, Kobe. After almost 4 years of being together, they can't wait to be married on November 6, 2021.

Our Story 

Bradford Farm is an all-inclusive beautiful wedding venue located in Town Creek, Alabama, near the town of Hatton. It is conveniently located off of Highway 157 between Florence and Moulton. Drive time is approximately 40 minutes from Decatur, 30 minutes from Florence, and 50 minutes from Cullman. Make sure to watch your speed traveling to and from!

Things to Do

Nicki and Grace have known each other pretty much their whole lives and have been best friends since kindergarten. That's 18 years! 
From countless late night trips to Sonic, weekend visits in college, sleepovers, and dinner dates, Nicki has been with Grace through it all. 
Nicki is the closest thing Grace has to a sister. Even though life has taken them in different directions, they have stayed in touch and have remained friends. Grace is so excited to have Nicki stand by her side as her Maid of Honor on her big day!

Hannah Grace and Grace met in college at UNA during their freshman year. They did not become close friends until later in college. They shared many experiences like attending The Well Church, planning and attending numerous sorority events, and  taking on the elementary education program one project and clinical at a time. They ended their undergraduate college careers by becoming roommates and even closer friends. Grace is so excited to have HG as a part of her special day!

Claire and Grace met at UNA during the first few days of their freshman year. It is safe to say that Claire was one of Grace's first friends at UNA. They were in different sororities but always found time and things to do together and with their friend group. Claire has remained a constant and supportive friend throughout college. Grace is so thankful for Claire's friendship and is excited to have her be part of her special day!

Claire Hampton

Justin is one of Brody's cousins on his mother's side of the family and they lived together while in college at UNA. Justin grew up in Vernon, Alabama, and married his wife Jessica Brown in 2020. They moved to Athens, Alabama last year. Justin works as project manager and salesman for State Systems Inc. If he is not working he is on a body of water fishing, hunting, or golfing.

Austin is one of Brody's lifelong best friends and they lived together all four years of college at UNA. Austin received a B.S. degree from the University of North Alabama in GIS and is currently an OSP Design Engineer at FiberRise in Huntsville. He is getting married to his fiancée Heather Minor in October of this year. 

Austin Smith

Ben and Brody met and became best friends during their freshman year at UNA when they lived on the same floor of Lafayette Hall. Justin, Austin, Ben, and Brody all lived together in the same house during their time at UNA. Ben is from Ardmore, Alabama, and currently works as an ER Nurse at Huntsville Hospital. 

Ben Magnusson

Garrett and Brody met while at UNA and became best friends as they were both members of the fraternity Lambda Sigma Phi. Garrett currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama, and works at Sozo Trading Co. He is getting married to his fiancée Whitney Alligood in November of this year. 

Garrett Steward

Nic and Brody met at UNA through the Honors College and through Lambda Sigma Phi Fraternity. Nic is Brody's fraternity little brother and one of Brody's best friends. He is currently a senior at UNA with intentions of pursuing law school upon graduation. 

Nic Cavender

Brody and Seth met at UNA while living next door to one another in Lafayette Hall. They became best friends through their time together in the Honors College and Lambda Sigma Phi Fraternity. Seth is originally from Atoka, Tennessee, and is currently a Wildlife Biologist. He is starting his graduate assistantship and masters degree at Texas A&M University - Commerce this fall.
