Nathan and Grace met at the University of Iowa in their Principles of Chemistry Case Study class. From there they became inseparable best friends who spent all their time studying together (Grace studied- Nathan tried to get her to stop studying every 5 minutes to either go eat or play club penguin). This photo was taken at Nathan's fraternity's Christmas date party in 2019. They went as "just friends," and remained "just friends" until 11/11/2021.

Nathan left to join the Army in August 2022. He got stationed at Fort Liberty in North Carolina and came home over Christmas leave and proposed to Grace 12/23/2023. She joined him in North Carolina in April 2024.
