Where can I RSVP for the wedding?
Lucky for you, you've made it to the right spot! At the navigation bar at the top, there is a tab to RSVP for the special day. Type in your name and you should be able to RSVP for your whole party. Please make sure to fill out any dietary restrictions in this section and if you see any errors with who is in your party, please feel free to reach out to the bride or groom for assistance.
What date should I RSVP by?
The sooner the better is always appreciated for our sake as we try and put together this special day. If you could hopefully finalize your RSVP by May 20th that would be appreciated. Again, feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
Where is the ceremony and what should I expect?
We are having the wedding ceremony and reception at the Nordic Village in Flagstaff, AZ. The address is 16848 US-180, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. It is located about 15 minutes north west of Flagstaff at an elevation of 8000 feet. At this elevation, the air is thinner, so be sure to drink plenty of water and take breaks to breathe deeply and fully enjoy the stunning surroundings. There is about a quarter mile walk from the parking lot to the meadow where the ceremony will be held and another quarter mile walk back to where the reception will be. For anyone with mobility concerns we will be able to have one designated vehicle to drive guests to and from the ceremony location.
How should I get there/what is parking like?
Directions to the venue are fairly easy. If mapping your route, searching for "Arizona Nordic Village" will get you there accurately. Otherwise, just plan on driving the 180 N out of Flagstaff for 15 miles and you will see the venue on the right. There is a large dirt parking lot at the venue with plenty of parking for all. As a note, because it is a little bit far out of town, it is hard to get Uber or Lyft out there. Please plan accordingly and try and carpool if needed. There should be plenty of people with vehicles and if not, let Zane know and he will try and connect you with a ride to the venue.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will take place in a beautiful outdoor meadow while the reception will take place in a large outdoor tent. As such, prepare for a majority of the time spent outdoors. It should be bright and sunny in June so make sure to put on your sunscreen. June is one of the warmest months in Flagstaff with an average high of around 82 but can occasionally hit the 90's. As evening falls, the temperature will definitely cool off into the low 60's. Because we are 1000 feet higher the weather should be perfect for a wedding at the Nordic Village but make sure to check the forecast ahead of time.
Where should I stay while in Flagstaff?
Flagstaff isn't a huge town but there are several good hotel or Airbnb options. If you are feeling particularly adventurous you can camp at the venue itself. They have several camping, cabin, and RV spots available. Please reach out to the bride or groom to coordinate those if that's what you are looking to do.
Is there a dress code for the wedding?
There is no dress code for the wedding, just wear what makes you look and feel great. You will be walking some dirt paths so we don't want you to mess up your fanciest tuxes and dresses. We look forward to seeing you there on that special day!
Am I allowed to bring a plus one/kids?
We want everyone to have a good time and (are pretty sure) we have invited everyone's kids and current plus ones. We are trying to limit the guests to those invited so only those with RSVP's listed on the site will be invited. If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to Zane or Grace for help.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We are planning to have a BBQ buffet from Bigfoot BBQ located in Flagstaff. Look forward to enjoying some tasty food while enjoying the great outdoors together.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
We do know some of our friends and family have some restrictions regarding food. We plan on having some food available for you as well. It would be a great help to us when RSVPing to note any food restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate. If you have any concerns about this, please contact the bride or groom.
Will there be an open bar?
We won't be providing any alcohol but will have water and other drinks to keep you hydrated with. You are more than welcome to bring your own alcohol if you wish, just know your limit and remember it will be hard to get ride share service to the venue so plan accordingly.
What is the wedding day itinerary?
The ceremony will take place at 3:30pm so make sure to leave enough time to get to the venue and walk the quarter mile to the meadow. It will be followed by a cocktail hour with snacks and outdoor games for the guests while the wedding party finishes up taking photos. We hope to start dinner by 5:30pm followed by dancing and partying together with our guests until around 9pm. This should leave enough time for final goodbyes and cleaning up the venue space so the last few guests are gone by 10pm which is our hard limit for time at the venue.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
At the reception we would love for you to take as many photos as you like. However at the ceremony, we ask that you refrain from taking photos and simply enjoy the moment with us. We will have a photographer to capture those moments during the ceremony and would love to keep it that way. Don't worry, we will share plenty of these photos taken after the wedding and will always be happy to share them with anyone who wants to see more moments from this special day.
Could you suggest places to eat drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?
Flagstaff is a beautiful place if you want to explore the surrounding outdoors by going for a hike or enjoy walking around historic downtown Flagstaff. We have assembled a non exhaustive list of things to do located at the navigation bar at the top of this site.
Will there be other events to attend on wedding weekend?
This is still TBD as we are working on planning our wedding, but we will not be leaving on a honeymoon immediately. We hope to connect with our friends and family in the day(s) following, especially those who have traveled from out of town to come celebrate with us.
I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?
We understand that you may still have questions, especially as many guests are coming in from out of town. Zane is more than happy to help try and answer any of your remaining questions, please feel free to reach out to him at (480) 231-0532.
