When should I arrive?

Guests may arrive beginning at 4:30pm. Please plan to arrive early so that you may have a refreshment and get settled in your seat. We will begin the ceremony promptly at 5:00pm.

How do I RSVP?

Right here on our website! Just click the "RSVP" tab at the top of the page. We are asking for RSVP's no later than May 24th so that we can submit our final guest count.

What's the Dress Code?

Dressy-casual, specifically Garden party, is the vibe we are going for. It's going to be summertime in Virginia, so we want you to be comfortable during the outdoor ceremony and reception. This might mean lightweight dresses, skirt and blouse, and khakis or suit pants with a jacket (tie optional!) Given the season, feel free to go bold with color. If you want some ideas or more explanation, check out this link: https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-dressy-casual.

Is parking available at the venue?

Yes! There will be parking beside the venue in a grassy area.

Where can we stay if we are traveling?

We have reserved rooms at both the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and the Holiday Inn Roanoke - Tanglewood, and will be providing a bus to pick you up for the ceremony and bring you back after the reception. If you would like more information about the hotel, please click the "Accommodations" tab, or reach out to us. Of course, you have the option of Air BnB and many other hotels, just remember to check your distance and route to the venue as some of these mountain roads can be tricky.

What is there to do around Roanoke?

While you're waiting for the event of the weekend, there's plenty of outdoors activities, such as hiking, taking a drive to the famous Mill Mountain Star landmark, and visiting the zoo or gardens; visiting museums such as the Taubman Museum of Art or the Pinball Museum in downtown; if food and drink is more your vibe, you'll find plenty of restaurants, breweries, and cafes scattered around the area. Check out the "Things to Do" tab for some recommendations!

Are children allowed?

We have decided to keep our wedding ceremony and reception adults-only and appreciate your understanding.

What type of food will be served?

We will be serving appetizers during cocktail hour and offering a buffet with a selection of meat, fish, vegetables, and salad. Please note on your RSVP if you have dietary restrictions.

Are photos during the wedding allowed?

We are requesting an unplugged ceremony -- you will have a chance to take pictures before the ceremony begins! Please take all the pictures your heart desires during the reception! We are asking that you wait to post pictures on social media until after the bride and groom have shared pictures. Thank you!
