Grace and Marcus met in 2013 during their Senior year of high school. They hit it off from the start, becoming close friends and talking almost every day. Each one had a crush on the other, but in true teenage fashion, never told one another. After many unofficial dates and dinners, they went their separate ways for college, leaving the relationship well within the friend-zone.

Grace stayed semi-local and attended the University of Delaware. Marcus went south to attend the Florida Institute of Technology, and later the University of Alabama. They never lost contact with each other, managing to talk every single day (and maintaining a snapchat streak that is still going 9+ years later). Every time Marcus returned home to visit, they would make plans and hang out. They repeated this pattern, as friends, for the next few years until they both had graduated with bachelor's degrees.

After graduation, Grace moved to New Jersey to pursue her career. Marcus moved back to Delaware to do the same. The distance continued to keep them physically apart, but their connection remained the same. Two years passed before the unspoken tension between the two finally began to come to a head. They realized that they couldn't go the rest of their lives without giving their relationship a chance and have been inseparable ever since.

After dating long-distance for 10 months, they moved in together in the summer of 2022. In addition to Leo, whom Marcus adopted in college, they adopted a new fur-baby together and named her Leia. They got engaged on the beach in May of 2023, and are counting the days until they can celebrate their wedding with everyone in Mexico 2025. See you all then!
