DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE EXCELLENCE RESORT?
Yes, all guests are requested to room on-property. The resort is highly secured, and those who do not have room reservations may not be allowed on the premises. Contact the bride and groom if you need additional information.
WHAT DOES ALL-INCLUSIVE MEAN?
All meals, snacks and drinks (including alcohol), are included and unlimited! There are 12 restaurants, 8 bars, lounges and 24-hour room service. There's also plenty of activities included at no extra charge (refer to the things-to-do tab for more)! Visit the Excellence Riviera Cancun website or download The Excellence Collection app on your cell phone to see a list of daily and nightly activities and entertainment.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME AT THE WEDDING?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so that you can celebrate with us.
CAN I BRING A GUEST?
We would love to have more guests at our wedding but unfortunately we're limited due to the venue's capacity. Please refer to your invitation envelope for the addressed parties. You're welcome to travel with friends or family to accompany you at the resort during your stay. Just a friendly reminder that they will not be able to attend the wedding events. Thank you for understanding.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AND DEPART?
You're welcome to stay as long as you would like but please note that the resort requests a 3-night minimum stay.
Our discounted promocode rates are valid from April 23rd - April 30th, 2025.
To join all wedding events, we recommend arriving by mid-day Friday, April 25th, 2025.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ROOMS?
There are 2 different levels, standard suites, and "Excellence Club" suites. Within these levels are a variety of room configurations, including swim-up, ocean and pool views, terrace suites, and more. Rooms listed in the "Excellence Club" are suites with these special benefits and perks: access to an additional club restaurant and bar, access to a club pool and club beach area, upgraded premium liquor in your suite, upgraded Bvlgari toiletries, and other perks listed on the XRC website.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY ROOM?
ASAP! There is no room block in place and rooms are expected to sell out as it gets closer to the wedding day. If you are not able to secure a room at the resort, you will not be able to attend the wedding as the resort requires all guests to stay on site. Booking now will also allow you to choose from a large range of room types. Swim up suites, ocean-view suites, and club room suites are some of the room types that sell out first. Booking with our promocode, your room reservation is 100% refundable up until 24 hours before your arrival and only $1 is required to reserve and secure your room now.
LAST DAY TO BOOK?
The last day to book with the discounted promocode rates or make any modifications to your reservation is February 15th, 2025. Any modifications after February 15th, 2025 will cancel your current reservation and will automatically be rebooked at the current resort rates, which will be much higher at that point. Make sure your card on file will not soon expire as your card on file will be charged for the remaining balance 30 days before your arrival. Your reservation may automatically be canceled by their system if your payment is declined due to your card on file being expired.
CAN I BOOK A NON-REFUNDABLE OPTION?
We are asking all of our guests to use our promocode GMWAPR25XRC (or GMWAPR25XRCMX if based in MX) and book the GROUPS RATE option because it only requires $1 deposit to book, includes free cancellation up until 24 hours from arrival and free transportation to/from the airport. We would hate for you to lose any money if you have to cancel your stay.
DO I HAVE TO RSVP?
RSVPs will be automatically generated by the resort upon completion of the room reservation process. Please reserve accommodation as-soon-as-possible.
WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
During check-in, the resort will ask if you have any dietary restrictions and tie this information to your room number. This is to make sure you have a comfortable stay! Additionally, please reach out to the bride and groom to ensure adequate menu options will be available for the wedding.
WHAT ACTIVITIES DOES THE RESORT OFFER?
The resort offers many things to do at no additional cost. Please look at the THINGS TO DO tab at the top of our website.
ANY OFFSITE EXCURSIONS?
There are so many activities at the resort that are already included with your stay, but if you wish to explore Cancun or the surrounding areas, please visit the THINGS TO DO tab at the top of our website to see popular excursions.
IS THERE A DISCOUNT FOR THE SPA?
Yes, the same promo code you used to book your reservation gets you 10% off, BUT you are also encouraged to check the monthly Spa offer on the Excellence website right before your trip as many times they offer even larger discounts.
