The Vidalia Onion Museum provides you with an interactive, historical experience. The 1,300 square foot space is filled with an array of educational exhibits that highlight the sweet onion's economic, cultural and culinary significance.
The Altama Museum is housed in the 1911 Brazell House near downtown Vidalia, Georgia. On the National Register of Historic Places, the Neoclassical gem is marked with enormous columns and inviting porches. Inside is an array of 20th-century Southern Art, antique prints, fine furniture, historic costume, and an exhibit of Girl Scout history curated by the Sweet Onion Service Unit of Girl Scouts. They also boast one of the largest collections of Staffordshire porcelain on public display in the nation.
