I am unable to attend, what should I do?
While you will be truly missed, if you are unable to attend, we would really appreciate it if you could RSVP and let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
Can I bring a guest?
Unfortunately, we can only accommodate guests that are formally invited. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow people named on your invitation. All members of your party will appear in the RSVP form. We look forward to celebrating with our closest friends and family.
Will the wedding be outside?
Yes, the ceremony will be outdoors in The Guild's garden space. The cocktail hour and reception will take place inside The Guild. Please dress accordingly and check the weather conditions leading up to the event.
Where will the wedding take place?
Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Guild, 1621 Locust St, Kansas City, MO 64108.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, parking is available. The Guild has three private lots available, as well as ample street parking for our guests. The three lots will be available at 5 pm and beyond. The guild provides one off-duty KCPD officer as security to patrols the parking areas and ensures orderly behavior in the venue.
What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm in the garden space at The Guild. Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the ceremony to find your seat.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, the drinks are on us- get ready to celebrate! Please arrange transportation from the venue if you plan on drinking. We want all of our loved ones to make it home safe.
Are children welcome?
As much as we love your children, our wedding is exclusively for adults, with the exception of close friends and family which children will be listed on your invitation and when you RSVP.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We ask you to kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us at the moment. We have a professional photographer who will be capturing the ceremony for us.
Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like.
What is the dress code?
Dress to impress! Our wedding is Formal or Black Tie optional, meaning women should wear floor-length dresses and men should wear formal suits. See examples of this below. Feel free to wear whatever color you want, but please refrain from wearing white, ivory, and champagne tones. We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the elegance of the occasion.
