Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?
We will be serving various appetizers and finger foods throughout the evening, but there will be no formal sit-down dinner.
Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?
We will ensure there are food options that suit everyone. If you have any special dietary restrictions, please verify with the venue staff the contents of the dishes.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
Both the ceremony and the reception will take place at The Cable Wharf.
What time should I arrive?
We encourage you to arrive at the wedding venue around 6:00pm as we will begin the formal ceremony around 6:30pm.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, both the wedding party and guests will enjoy a brief cocktail break before hors d'oeuvres are brought out and speeches begin.
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Parking downtown can be challenging, especially on New Year's Eve. We encourage you to park at your hotel or at home, and use a cab service or Uber to get to and from the venue. If driving, street parking is free after 6pm and on New Year's Day, and public parking lots are available nearby at a charge.
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. However we do understand this may not be possible for everyone (especially with the very little ones!) so please do not hesitate to bring them if this is the case!
Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?
Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including coffee shops, spas and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.
I still have questions. What is the best way to contact you?
You can reach out to us by email at greg.richard@dal.ca or stephendoyle205@gmail.com if you have any additional questions or concerns.
