COVID-19 Update

A Note on Covid-19 and FAQ's

Pandemic Update: With an increase in spreading variants, our greatest concern continues to be the health and safety of our guests. At this time, based on local public health recommendations, unvaccinated guests should wear masks indoors, however, fully vaccinated guests do not need to wear masks. In an abundance of caution, the venue has implemented socially distant seating, and masks and ample sanitizing stations will be provided throughout the wedding day. The ceremony and reception will be held mainly indoors, with happy hour occurring outside. As much as we want everyone to be able to celebrate in person, we expect that if you are feeling ill or have been exposed to covid-19 within two weeks of the wedding to stay home and toast us from afar.

Please contact us directly with any questions. We are looking forward to celebrating with you!

From blink 182 to Jorgensen Farms

Several months before Matt planned to leave the Air Force and return to Columbus, Ohio, mutual friends —Jeff and Emily—were planning a set-up. A few days after Matt came home, a large group (including Gretchen and Matt) were invited to a blink 182 concert in downtown Columbus. The two newbies did not talk very much that night, but luckily, they were able to set up date #2 at a local dive bar. (again... thanks Jeff and Em!)

Matt told silly jokes and old Air Force tales while Gretchen mostly listened with a stoic smile. Gretchen shared stories of teaching and tutoring kiddos, and Matt recognized her kind heart. Gretchen drove Matt home on date #2, and before he got out of the car, Matt asked if he could repay her by taking her out to dinner. Matt’s smooth demeanor sealed the deal, and she said yes.

A few weeks later they went to the local food truck festival on the Scioto Mile. They walked, talked, and scarfed Kevin Bacon Ranch Fries with cheese and overpriced beer. They capped the evening sharing a Graeter’s ice cream cone as the bright Columbus skyline reflected on the river.

Two and a half years later in Yellow Springs, Ohio...With the wedding venue booked and the down payment non-runfundable for 8/8/20...Matt got down on one knee and asked Gretchen if she would marry him. Smooth, and again, she said yes.
