Xochimilco is an area of Mexico City characterised by a network of canals and artificial islands (chinampas), where we will take a ride in the "trajineras" (traditional colourful boats that take you around the canals). Concerning food and drinks, you can buy everything there. For the afraid ones of you who really don't trust Mexican food, please bring yourselves a sandwich or a little snack and party on the boats along with Mariachis and other mexican folklore.
The meeting point is 11am in the Lobby of the Hotel Ritz. Please be very punctual as the buses won't wait for us more than 10 minutes. We will leave Xochimilco around 3:00 pm.
Cost per person: 350 $MXN (including bus and your place on the trajineras) Bring some extra cash if you want to pay yourself drinks and food
We will book a large area of this restaurant/bar, so that we can have a good time together.
We have already preselected a menu for the cost of 350 $MXN per person. Drinks are to be paid seperately per table. The place is ours until midnight.
Visit of Teotihuacan pyramids and on the way back, if there is time, visit of the cathedral of Tepotzotlan, great example of churrigueresque mexican baroque
Cost per person 300 $MXN (includes bus and 65 $MXN for the entrance to the archeological site) As in Xochimilco, please bring along some more cash in case you get hungry or thirsty.
The meeting place is again the lobby of the Hotel Ritz at 10am. Please be super punctual again as the buses can't wait for us more than 10 minutes. We will try to leave the pyramids at 2pm and aim to be back at the Ritz at 5pm.
Chaz's parents will host a cocktail party as a pre-wedding come-together.
