Our story began back in January of 2021, when Hadley was in her senior year at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and Tyler was in his senior year at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. We met on social media, thanks to the overlap between the colleges being in neighboring towns.

We began texting at the beginning, and connected immediately on big life topics like our values, morals, lifestyle, and where we see ourselves in 5, 10, 20+ years. We found ourselves sharing very personal stories and connecting on so many things, and soon became each other's highlight of every day.

Our first official date was on Valentines Day, at a restaurant in Downtown Mankato. Shortly after that, Tyler asked Hadley to be his girlfriend, and we were inseparable since. We attended big life moments for each other like our college graduations, met each other's families and friends, and continued seeing each other when we each moved back in with our parents post-college.

We were each other’s biggest supporters through all the changes that unfolded during that time in our lives, like landing our first post-college jobs, and moving into an apartment we chose together. We kept every promise of plans to be made together, since we knew pretty much from the start that we would be in each other’s lives forever.

Our life together kept moving forward, and in Spring of 2023, we made the decision to adopt a dog. After lots of research and searching for the right fit, we found our puppy Pippa from Healing Hearts Rescue, and she has been the perfect addition to complete our little family.

In February of 2025, we were getting ready for a Valentines Day/Anniversary dinner date, and Tyler surprised Hadley with a ring, asking her to marry him. He planned for a long time to have each of our parents and siblings there (minus Caitlin, though she was on FaceTime!) and pulled it off without Hadley having a clue. It was a very special moment that we’ll look back on forever with the best memories.

Now, we are nearly a married couple, to the surprise of absolutely no one. We knew from the very start that we were meant to be together, and are so excited for all that’s to come in this next chapter of our lives.
