Hailey and Drew went to high school together but didn’t know about each other until the second trimester of Hailey’s freshman year when they were in the same art class. In early February 2018, Drew was trying to figure out who the "cute girl" in his art class was and when he found out it was Hailey, he immediately added her on Snapchat and they began talking. They had instant sparks and the rest is history.

7 years have gone by since Hailey and Drew’s initial interaction. In that time, their love has grown and strengthened. They attended prom together and watched each other's football/soccer games; Hailey watched Drew graduate high school and then visited him at UW-Stout; Drew watched Hailey graduate high school and move out to Colorado to fulfill her lifelong dream of attending Colorado School of Mines; they did long distance and Hailey or Drew would fly/drive to see the other almost monthly; Drew saw Hailey graduate from Mines; they traveled a lot; and now they're engaged.

Just after 12am on 01/01/2025, Drew surprised Hailey by decorating the basement with rose petals, balloons, candles, and Christmas lights, and asking her to marry him.

In the 7 years that they’ve been together, Hailey and Drew have flown/drove over 61,000 miles to see each other while doing long distance, visited 19 states and 20+ State/National Parks, vacationed in Mexico, cruised around the Bahamas and have planned many more adventures together.

While their time together has not always been easy battling long distance, a global pandemic, and questions about what their future held, their love, trust, and commitment to one another helped their love grow stronger and overcome any hurdles they faced.

Now, they are both eagerly awaiting for August 8th in Black River Falls, WI where they will vow to continue jumping over life’s hurdles and traveling throughout life together as husband and wife.
