Like all great love stories, ours began… on Hinge. (Thank you, algorithm!) Before we ever met in person, we decided to FaceTime. That first call lasted hours and felt like minutes, and we knew that something special was starting.

When we finally met in person, the connection was instant. We clicked like we had known each other forever — or at least long enough to finish each other’s movie quotes. Since then, we've been inseparable (almost four years and counting!), always finding something to talk about, laugh about, or complain about together.

I’d like to think I keep Matthew on his toes, reminding him to embrace spontaneity, feel all the feelings, and occasionally leave his comfort zone. Matthew keeps me laughing with his endless wit, and quick comebacks, and he encourages me to speak up for myself and be strong. Together, we balance each other out — kind of like a lightsaber duel where both sides win!

We’ve traveled to so many new places, braved countless Disney days like pros, binged enough shows to qualify as critics, and slowly introduced each other to our worlds — I have lovingly dragged Matthew to more live theater than he probably ever thought he’d see, and Matthew taught me the ins and outs of baseball, patiently teaching me that sports are cool. And through it all, our love for Star Wars, that has sparked deep conversations based on all of our theories on the movies, jamming to the super weird songs we’ve shown each other, and attempting to make a pizza that’s even close to a New York slice, has kept life exciting.

Matthew proposed the day we got the keys to our house — a home we're building together, full of love, laughter, and our impressive lightsaber collection and funko pop displays. It was the perfect moment: sweet, simple, and just us.

We feel so lucky to have found our person in each other. Our love has grown with every adventure, every quiet night in, binging tv shows/crossing classic movies off our list, and thanking God for every moment we get to spend together. We're beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter with the people we love most. Thank you for being part of our story.
