IMPORTANT INFORMATION

There have been a few people asking about whether to rent a car or just use a taxi or Uber. There is no such thing as Uber on the island but there are quite a few taxi drivers.

It is safe to drive everywhere on Nevis as long as you are comfortable driving on the opposite/British side of the road. It is also safe in registered taxis. You can circle the entire island in less than an hour and taxis will cost about US$10-15 per quarter circle.

If you plan to make more than two outings per day, it may cost less to rent a car. Cars through Striker’s are US$70-87/day including tax, plus fuel and a driver license (US$25).

We do recommend a taxi on wedding day - to the beach for the ceremony, and back to your hotel after the reception. We will provide transportation from the wedding ceremony on the beach to the plantation for the reception.
