IMPORTANT INFORMATION

There have been a few people asking about whether to rent a car or just use a taxi or Uber. There is no such thing as Uber on the island but there are quite a few taxi drivers.

It is safe to drive everywhere on Nevis as long as you are comfortable driving on the opposite/British side of the road. It is also safe in registered taxis. You can circle the entire island in less than an hour and taxis will cost about US$10-15 per quarter circle.

If you plan to make more than two outings per day, it may cost less to rent a car. Cars through Striker’s are US$70-87/day including tax, plus fuel and a driver license (US$25).

We do recommend a taxi on wedding day - to the beach for the ceremony, and back to your hotel after the reception. We will provide transportation from the wedding ceremony on the beach to the plantation for the reception. Please shoot me a text and let me know one way or another whether you need us to reserve you a seat(s).
