The first time I saw him, we sat at the same gate for a flight to San Diego. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he’s cute. When I got to my seat, I saw that the seat beside me was empty and thought, how awesome would it be if he ended up next to me?

We met on Hinge, a dating app, in 2020. Our relationship became a COVID romance that was filled with creative zoom dates and lots of time apart. We were finally able to reconnect in person and have been together ever since.

Who made the first move? How?

Haley made the first move when she invited Hector out hours after first talking. We played board games at a cocktail bar and went to a drag show at Haley’s favorite bar.

Who's going to take out the trash?

Hector. Haley gets the kitty litter.

What was your most memorable date?

Walking through the streets of New Orleans during Halloween Weekend. We found small eccentric restaurants and bars and explored neighborhoods at our leisure.

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

GIANT has been our recent favorite. Sitting at the bar sipping a cocktail while watching the kitchen is excellent.

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Last Spring we went to California and camped from Northern California to San Fransisco.
