Our Wedding

The first time I saw him, we sat at the same gate for a flight to San Diego. I remember glancing over at him and thinking, Oh, wow, he’s cute. When I got to my seat, I saw that the seat beside me was empty and thought, how awesome would it be if he ended up next to me? Just kidding :) We met on Hinge, a dating app, in 2020. Our relationship became a COVID romance that was filled with creative zoom dates and lots of time apart. We were finally able to reconnect in person and have been together ever since. Tidbits Who made the first move? How? Haley made the first move when she invited Hector out hours after first talking. We played board games at a cocktail bar and went to a drag show at Haley’s favorite bar. Who's going to take out the trash? Hector. Haley gets the kitty litter. What was your most memorable date? Walking through the streets of New Orleans during Halloween Weekend. We found small eccentric restaurants and bars and explored neighborhoods at our leisure. What's the best meal you have eaten together? GIANT has been our recent favorite. Sitting at the bar sipping a cocktail while watching the kitchen is excellent. What's the most memorable trip you have taken together? Last Spring we went to California and camped from Northern California to San Fransisco. We also recently returned from Mexico City, which was fabulous. We’re on the same page about: What's important to us. And that's spending time with the people we love most. (You all!)

Haley & Hector were married on 3.3.23 at the Richard J. Daley Center in Chicago, Illinois. 

The Ceremony was held at the Richard J. Daley Center (Courthouse) in Chicago, Illinois. We could think of no better officiant than the Honorable Michael T. Mullen. The John J. Daley Center and courtroom where we were married is significant to Haley as that is where she works with Judge Mullen (and MacKenzie Durkin :) ).   After the ceremony, we went to dinner at GIANT, one of our favorite restaurants. We ended the night with karaoke and a few sweet dance moves :)       So, let's get to the meatest gossip - why wasn't anyone invited to the ceremony? And why so fast?     Well, it's not that complicated of an answer. It' wasn't possible to include all of our numerous incredible friends and family, so we decided to simply include immediate family only. We love you all so very much and would be honored if you would join us for a Celebration on July 8, 2023, at John & Janine Comella's. We would love to see you there!   An intimate ceremony is relatively easy to plan. We've been thinking about this for a long time!
