We highly recommend Hotel Millwright. It is where the ceremony and reception will be held and where we go every year with Alex's family. We do have a room block here that you can book online with the code above or call the hotel and let them know you are staying for the Crider/Hamerlinck wedding! The cut off date for this room block is April 30th. After this date the remaining rooms will be released.

This hotel is about a 15 minute drive from Hotel Millwright and right off of I-80. Our coordinators at Hotel Millwright tell us that they just recently remodeled and it is a very nice hotel to stay in. We do have a room block set up here. It is under "Hamerlinck Wedding". The cut off date for this room block is April 30th. After this date the remaining rooms will be released.

This Motel is a 7 minute walk from Hotel Millwright. Our coordinators at Hotel Millwright tell us it is incredibly clean and the people there are great to work with. We do not have a room block here.

Places to Stay

Amana Colonies 

There are lots of little stores and places to visit in the colonies. Some of our favorites are the Amana Meat Shop and Smokehouse, the General Store, the Chocolate Haus, the Colonies Bakery and Cafe, Millstream Brau Haus, and the International Christmas Market (connected to the general store). Although these are our favorites there are many other little shops and experiences to do including the Popcorn and Ice Cream Company, multiple wineries, the Millstream Brewing Co., and the Little Red Wagon Toy Store to name a few. All of them have a sign out front telling you what they are and most of them are on the main strip so it's easy to walk and hit multiple stores at one time!

Amana Colonies Nature Trail

If hiking is more your speed there is a nature trail that leads to a lookout from a small bluff overlooking the Iowa River.

This is a little outlet mall about 20 minutes from Amana. We go here during our yearly trips. They have stores like Columbia, Nike, American Eagle, Coach, Eddie Bauer, Lee Wrangler, and Under Armor.

Outlets and Marketplace Williamsburg

A very nice course with 18 holes and 2 indoor golf simulators if you want to bring your clubs for the weekend!

Amana Colonies Golf Club

Lots of fun activities to do here including: golf suits similar to top golf, a putting course, mini bowling, and multi-sport simulators.

PinSeekers Tiffin

Cedar Rapids is about a 15-20ish minute drive from Amana, Iowa and has lots of activities, shopping, and restaurants around the city.

Iowa City, Iowa is about 20-25ish minute drive from Amana and has the Coral Ridge Mall that has an ice rink inside as well as lots of stores. It also has many different restaurants, shops, and activities to do if you want to drive a little bit!
