Our Wedding

Way back in 2024, Haley and Dawson met at (you guessed it!) the gym. The two didn't pay all that much attention to one another until one day when Dawson asked Haley about church. Dawson quickly got involved at church and started attending Haley's small group. He also quickly developed a crush on her. After a few polite declines to his requests for a date, Haley came to her senses and accepted an invitation to introduce Dawson to the greatest movie series of all time (Harry Potter, of course. He hasn't read the books yet, but they will get there). Almost instantly, the two fell in love and became inseparable. In fact, after only officially dating for about a week, Haley told her best friend, "This might sound crazy, but I can totally see myself marrying that man." Dawson would tell you he knew he wanted to marry Haley long before they ever started dating. Based on the wise counsel of trusted friends and the many books they read about dating as Christians, they knew marriage was the goal and thus dated very intentionally. For their one-month anniversary, they went engagement ring shopping! All jokes aside, they both knew from the start that the other was their person. It was only a matter of checking off the boxes on Haley's to-do list before making it official. Haley and Dawson are ecstatic to start their life together, confident that their union will glorify Christ and honor the earthly covenant of marriage that God established. They look forward to celebrating with their close family and friends. Cheers!

The entire day's events will be held at the same location at 851 Bacon Hall Rd. in Sparks Glencoe, MD. It's a big house at the end of a long driveway; follow the parking signs.

The couple does not have a registry. If you would like to give a cash gift, they would greatly appreciate it, for they plan to honeymoon and buy a home shortly after tying the knot!

What is an open reception?

Guests can arrive at any time during the allotted hours to come see the couple. Just time to yap, eat, laugh, and celebrate together! This allows the couple to have an intimate ceremony beforehand and still get to celebrate with all their friends on their wedding day. Lunch will be provided.

Can I bring a plus one?

The couple's desire is to keep the celebration limited to immediate family and close friends, so invites are by name only.

What should I wear?

Attire for the whole day is semi-formal. For women, this means cocktail attire. For men, this means suit or blazer with tie optional.

Are kids welcome?

No. Given the limited time, the couple wants all guests to be able to be fully be present and enjoy their time there.

What kind of venue is it?

It's located at a large home that the couple rented for the occasion, allowing for privacy and intimacy. There will be plenty of parking. The only request is that everyone please aim to leave the house as clean and tidy as they found it.
