In 2016 Danny and I both stood in the same wedding. My cousin (and bridesmaid Jenni) was marrying his fraternity brother Chad. When the wedding came around I thought he was super cute, back in his long hair days, and was really waiting to see if he would make the first move. He was not coming up to me so I walked up to the bar and asked him what he was drinking. He told me he was drinking water and I laughed at him and said I was too, clearly I was not. But it worked and the rest of the night we were side by side and dancing and joking around. We went on a few dates and decided it wasn’t the right time to get into a relationship as I was heading to college. So for the next 3 years we remained friends and celebrated in each others “big moments” in life, but that was it. After 3 years we went on another date for Valentine’s Day and his birthday as friends and a few months later in July he asked me to be his girlfriend at the beach! 4 years later, a whole lot of laughs, memories, weddings, and basketball games later Danny finally got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in the most magical way. We both always say we are very different people that God created to perfectly complement one another. We are so incredibly blessed that we get to go on this journey of life together and that we have incredible friends and family to celebrate our love with us! We are so excited for May 2024 to finally be husband and wife!
