On March 7, 2026, we’ll be saying “I do” in one of our favorite places — beautiful Costa Rica. Our Wedding

Shocking, we know—but our love story started on Tinder. Yes, Tinder. It was January 2016, and while most people were busy looking for something casual, we were two women who knew what we were about. No games, no ghosting—just swiped right into each other’s lives like it was meant to be. What started as flirty messages turned into marathon conversations, uncontrollable laughter, and the undeniable feeling that we’d stumbled onto something real. We weren’t just each other’s type—we were it. Fast-forward through years of adventures, growth, and making each other laugh every day... and now here we are, about to say “I do.” From swipe to soulmates—and we wouldn't change a thing.

How We Met

In November 2024, we traveled to Costa Rica for a family vacation. On the 6th, we planned a visit to the observatory and the hot springs at Los Lagos Resort. While we were all taking turns capturing family pictures, I had no idea that this moment would become one of the most unforgettable of my life. With the serene landscape surrounding us and the warm glow of the evening sky, Megan quietly turned around, dropped to one knee, and asked me to marry her. It was a magical moment, one that felt timeless. My heart swelled with emotion, and in that moment, surrounded by the beauty of Costa Rica and the love we share, I knew that this was just the beginning of forever.

We are already legally married! When we were in Costa Rica, we found out the results of the 2024 presidential election. It reminded us how fragile love like ours can feel in a country that still debates whether people like us deserve equal rights. But in the middle of that heaviness, something beautiful happened: Megan proposed. Her timing turned what could’ve been despair into light, into hope, into a promise that no election could touch. When we came home, we reflected hard on what our future might look like — two women in love, in a nation that too often treats that love like it’s up for debate. That’s when we realized we couldn’t wait for the world to be ready to honor our marriage. We had to take our future into our own hands. So on December 13th, 2024, we made a quiet, deliberate choice: to protect our love and secure our future—no matter what. We stood at a courthouse. No vows. No rings. Just Love, paperwork, and the deep knowing that, as a lesbian couple, we couldn’t afford to wait for a world that isn’t guaranteed to stand beside us. However, That wasn’t the celebration. That was the shield. The celebration, the joy, the truth, the soul of it is still ahead. In the heart of Costa Rica, surrounded by those who see us, love us, and stand with us, we’ll speak the vows that truly matter. This day isn’t just about a wedding. It’s about resilience. It’s about choosing joy, even in the face of injustice. And it’s about being surrounded only by people who fully, wholeheartedly support our love and believe in our right to it.
