Where is Costa Rica?

Costa Rica is located in Central America. A valid passport is required for entry into the country.

Where is the ceremony and reception being held?

Our ceremony and reception will be at Los Lagos Resort & Hot Springs in La Fortuna, Alajuela, Costa Rica. If you stay at the resort, you'll be right where all the celebration happens! (Check out our Travel page for the booking link.) La Fortuna, nestled at the base of the stunning Arenal Volcano, is known for its lush rainforests, natural hot springs, and breathtaking views—an ideal tropical backdrop for a joyful, love-filled celebration.

How do I RSVP?

If you have received your invitation, please use the link provided to RSVP.

Can I bring a plus one to the Wedding?

Due to the intimate nature and limited space of our venue, we kindly ask that only those named on the invitation attend the ceremony and reception.

Do I have to travel alone?

No. We know traveling to a new country can be daunting, so you’re welcome to travel with anyone you’d like—however, due to the intimate nature and limited space of our venue, we kindly ask that only those named on the invitation attend the ceremony and reception.

How do we get to La Fortuna?

There are two major international airports in Costa Rica: Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José, and Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia. La Fortuna is located roughly between the two, making either airport a good option depending on your travel plans. Transportation is not provided, so please refer to our Travel page for helpful details on car rentals, flights, and other accommodations.

What is the dress code?

CLASSY TROPICAL JUNGLE VIBE: We kindly ask guests to dress semi-formal while keeping the tropical weather in mind—light, breathable fabrics are perfect! No white dresses and no graphic teeshirts. Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit for the reception—we promise you’ll want it! Guests will have access to the Volcanic Hot Spring Pools. Our colors are sage, brown, and beige. **see Dress Code page for reference**

When should we book our flight or hotels?

You may begin booking as soon as you are ready! For flight, hotel, and transportation suggestions, please check our travel page.

How long should we plan on staying?

We highly recommend arriving a day or two early to make sure you don’t miss a moment of the celebration! After the wedding on Saturday, March 7th, feel free to head home or extend your stay in beautiful Costa Rica. We wholeheartedly encourage guests to explore and enjoy the magic of the country for as long as they’d like — our hope is that you fall in love with Costa Rica the same way we did.

What’s the weather like during the wedding?

In March, the weather in the Arenal area is typically warm and dry, as it’s the dry season. Temperatures range from 70–85°F (21–29°C), with sunny skies and minimal rain. Even though it’s dry season, this rainforest region still tends to have moderate to high humidity, usually around 70–80%, especially in the mornings and evenings. It’s the perfect time to explore the Arenal Volcano, hot springs, and hiking trails.

What is the currency, and do I need to bring cash?

The official currency is the Costa Rican Colón. While you can exchange U.S. dollars at the airport, most places accept Visa or credit cards, and U.S. dollars are widely accepted.

Do I need to bring a gift?

Your presence is the best gift we could ask for! We understand traveling with a gift may be difficult, so we’ve set up a registry on our website for those who wish to contribute.
