In separate groups, Haley and Mohsin decided to embark on a 4-day, 26-mile trek to Machu Picchu. And let me tell you, the first day of hiking was ROUGH. At the end of the day, on top of a mountain in the Incan jungle and extremely out of shape, Haley had to take a second to catch her breath. This is when Mohsin came up the mountain and said "This is insane, isn't it?!" Quite frankly, Haley couldn't breathe from the altitude, thought she might be dying, and was extremely irritated that this random guy was trying to start a conversation.

As the days went on, Haley listened to Mohsin talk passionately about his love for mushrooms, plants, and his cats at home. Soon enough, her best friend Emma caught on that Haley was adjusting her speed to hike near Mohsin and called Haley out on this. Haley was in denial. She thought she wanted to be single throughout grad school, which she was starting the next month. Emma then showed Mohsin *every* embarrassing picture she had of Haley, because, "if that doesn't scare him off then we know he's the one." ... Haley hates to admit it, but Emma was right.

By the end of the trek, the group had become close and decided to spend one last night hanging out at an AirBNB. Haley and Mohsin stayed up nearly all night talking on a rooftop overlooking Cusco.

After getting home, Mohsin and Haley would spend 4+ hours a day video chatting. Less than 2 weeks passed before Mohsin decided it was time to travel across the country from Texas to visit Haley in Ohio. On the last day of his trip, they realized that they didn't want to be with anyone else and made things official.

The next 6 months were spent traveling on planes to spend time and holidays together. Each trip was spent making new memories and growing closer.

Mohsin decided to make his move official and the couple bought their first house in Delaware, OH!!

To Haley and Mohsin, a bigger house means more space for pets. They immediately took in one of Mohsin's cats from home, Chester, and then adopted a big goofball, Neo. Though it took some time, Haley's pets Tiki and Nova now love their siblings.

Mohsin popped the question on their 3-year-anniversary while hiking with their dogs! To absolutely no one's surprise, Haley enthusiastically said yes to spending the rest of their lives together.
