We invite you to wear a comfortable outfit with Western flair. The theme of "Best Western" attire is inspired by Haley's time at Teton Valley Ranch Camp, where the campers would don their best western wares and showcase their talents in the rodeo each Sunday. Western wear is not limited to the fashions of cowboys and cowgirls, but speaks to the rich culture of Western America and an appreciation for a well made garment that stands the test of time. As the campers used to say "Let's go! Let's Show! Let's Rodeo!"
YES, PLEASE: nice denim, western shirts, bolo ties, sundresses, boots, dancing shoes, western hats (lassos, chaps and spurs optional).
NO, THANK YOU: formal attire, suits, gowns, denim with holes, gimmicky costumes.
Please don't feel pressured to buy anything "authentically" Western!
If you live in the Metro-Detroit area and you feel inspired by the theme, consider visiting Scott Colburn for Western wear and accessories.

Temperatures are naturally cooler at altitude and will range from 80 degrees F during the day to 60 degrees F at night. The wedding will be OUTDOORS and in full sun. We recommend you pack light layers. Temperatures will be up to 20 degrees warmer in Salt Lake City. The Rustler is naturally cooled by mountain air and does NOT have air conditioning. All rooms have windows.
That's 1.5 miles! Make sure you drink PLENTY of water and fluids to avoid altitude sickness. If you have a health limitation, please consult your doctor before traveling. You may want to consider spending an extra day in Salt Lake City to acclimate yourself to the altitude.
Alta's watershed features some of the purest mountain water in the world! Please consider bringing your own reusable water bottle. The Rustler Lodge does not provide bottled water and invites their guests to refill water bottles with fresh spring water, straight from the source.
