Haley and Joe met in March of 2020 in Grafenwoehr, Germany. Both were assigned to the 15th Engineer Battalion. The two remained friendly for several months but ultimately bonded over watching Stranger Things after a barbeque at Joe’s apartment. The two enjoyed travelling throughout Europe and have taken trips to over 15 countries together!

Joe proposed on October 7th, 2022 at the top of The Shard, the tallest building in London. He hired a private photographer to capture the moment and snap a few shots of the couple afterward. The two left Germany in March of 2023 and attended the Engineer Captains Career Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. That April, their furbaby, Nugget, joined their little family and has filled their lives with joy, kibble, and lots of noise! Next, they will be stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas; right next to Haley's alma mater, Kansas Sate University. The couple is looking forward to celebrating their marriage and to the next chapter of their lives together!
