They will both tell you different sides of this, but – Haley insists that she "found" Monica, first. Monica started publishing romance novels in 2018, all of which Haley read. She then followed Monica on all social media.&nbsp; Haley published her first romance novel in 2020, which Monica then read and decided to reach out to Haley – determined to be friends.&nbsp; Monica, as she so often does, achieved what she set out to do.&nbsp; This is why Monica insists that she "found" Haley first, given that she was the first one to reach out and form a personal connection.&nbsp; It's something they've agreed to debate about for the rest of their lives.&nbsp; Their friendship formed in the summer of 2020, and progressively became deeper and deeper, until it was a foundational part of who they were. Neither of them realized exactly how intensely they felt for one another, until it seemed to be staring them in the face, demanding to be recognized.&nbsp; As of early 2023, Haley moved to Philadelphia to be with Monica and neither of them have looked back.&nbsp; Even though both Haley and Monica are romance novelists, neither one of them ever believed in this kind of feeling.

Our Recommended Hotels

We will be providing pick-up and drop-off shuttle service from both the Hampton Inn &amp; Hilton Homewood Suites in Boston/Peabody for the wedding party venue *now located in Peabody, MA* The hotels are right next to one another and about a 15-minute drive from both the party venue. Both hotels offer free self-parking which is not true for any of the Salem hotels we list under "Salem Hotels" below.

We have a small room block at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. We recommend booking non-blocked rooms here too or at their sister property across the street, the Hampton Inn.

Salem Hotels

Below are hotels centrally located in Salem, MA, close to the hustle-and-bustle of witchy fall events. These rooms are expensive and book up quickly, but we wanted to give guests the option if they want to stay directly in Salem. Shuttle service will not be provided from Salem hotels.

Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites

Immersive in the historic charm of Salem, this inn was built in the 1800s! Updated with modern luxuries, of course, this inn provides a smaller, cozy accommodation.

Right in the thick of downtown Salem, the Hotel Salem offers the most modern stay in the city. Beware, though, that it does not have parking! Perfect for anyone not renting a vehicle for a trip.
