The church was founded in 1742 as “a Chapel of Ease for the Forest Inhabitants”. St. Thomas' is special because it is where Harry was baptized and where Greg and Jesse VanGeison were married.

Green Spring Valley Hunt Club was founded in 1892 to promote the very popular sport of fox-hunting. Harry started going to the club when he was a child and one of his favorite things to do there is enjoy a round of golf.
