Gill Mountain, at Triple Creek Ranch

We are excited that you are coming to help us celebrate the Best Day Ever!Please arrive at Triple Creek Ranch between 3:15 and 3:30, as it is then a 15 minute drive down a dirt road and across a beautiful pasture to the top of Gill Mountain, where music will begin about 3:45. We will help you arrange carpooling from the farmhouse to our wedding site, as we need to minimize the number of vehicles driving across the back pasture. If the weather's good and you prefer to walk, it's a little over a mile and can be pleasantly done in about 30 minutes.We will be doing an anti-rain dance all morning. Even so, you may want to bring a big umbrella, just in case the rain gods decide that we should exchange our vows in the rain.After our wedding ceremony, we will head back to the farmhouse for dinner and dancing to celebrate our marriage and your presence!

Abby and Hannah met in 1991 when Abby was born.  As her only sister, they have experienced a lot together, including family trips, summer camps, and, of course, growing up in Farmville.  She is, of course, the perfect choice as the Maid of Honor.

Tucker is Max's little brother and best friend.  Despite their nine-year age gap, Tucker and Max shared a bedroom, even when Tucker was a baby!  Even though Tucker is far away as a freshman at Tabor Academy, we are excited to have him come down south as the Best Man.

Adam is Max's step-brother and the youngest member of the wedding parties.  He is a student in Marion, MA, and we are excited to welcome him to Virginia as a groomsman!

Adam Mendes

Cady is Max's sister and now Hannah's close friend!  Max and Hannah got engaged the night before her wedding, so we obviously owe her a debt of gratitude.  We are excited to have her down south!

Cady Hayes

Julie is Hannah's sister-in-law.  She has been a part of the Bowman family for a long time, and she officially married into the family two summers ago on Ocracoke Island.  After many family Christmases, parties, and life events, Hannah can't wait to have Julie as a part of this one.

Noah is Hannah's brother and is currently one of the caretakers at Triple Creek Ranch.  Although Max just met him three years ago, they have bonded over their love for the Packers.

Mitch is Hannah's brother and another caretaker of Triple Creek. Mitch lives in Radford with his wife Julie, and Max and Hannah have made many trips down to visit.

Becca has been Hannah's best friend since the seventh grade when her family moved to Hampden-Sydney.  They grew up down the street from each other and have been engrained into each other's families and lives.  Being a bridesmaid in each other's weddings was on their life to-do lists, so this has been years in the making!

Kara and Hannah met in 2007 when they were randomly assigned as each other's roommates at Colby College.  After three years of living together, this lucky chance has developed into a life-long friendship.  We are excited to have Kara in Virginia for the first time and to cure some of the separation anxiety that ensues whenever she and Hannah are apart.

John is Max's cousin and currently works in Philadelphia for the 76ers.  John and Max have been making mischief since they were kids, and we couldn't be more excited to have him at the farm!

Clare and Hannah met in 2007 on the first day of volleyball tryouts at Colby College and quickly became inseparable.  Clare provided unconditional emotional support and friendship throughout college, and we are more than excited to have her in Virginia for the first time!

Bryan will be representing the Irish down south for this wedding.  Bryan is Max's brother-in-law, originally from Limerick, Ireland.  Hannah and Max got engaged just before his wedding to Max's sister, so we definitely owe him a debt of gratitude.

Lindsay and Hannah met at Camp Hat Creek during middle school and continued to attend the camp every summer. After years as CITs and then full staff members, Lindsay and Hannah grew to be extremely silly and extremely bonded (to say the least).

Holly and Hannah met at Camp Hat Creek when they were both camp counselors.  After many summers together and many rendez-vous since, Holly has become an extremely close friend.  We are so excited to have Holly (and her husband, Jonathan) as part of the wedding!

These year-round residents of Triple Creek Ranch are reportedly very excited about our wedding ....This is IMPORTANT NEWS for those of you who are driving south via Farmville or Richmond: Don't listen to GPS directions that route you south on 15 through Clarksville and then south on 49 to Triple Creek Ranch at Virgilina, because there is A BRIDGE OUT on Route 49 just before you get to the farm and GPS is not aware of that. If you go that way, there is a posted detour off of Route 49 that is an extra 10 minutes or so ... southwest into North Carolina and then back north into Virginia. INSTEAD, take Route 360 west all the way to South Boston ... and then go 9 miles south of South Boston on Route 501 before turning left on Route 96. Then you'll go 9 miles east on Route 96 to Virgilina and straight through the small town's "main intersection" on what becomes Route 49 North. You'll see Triple Creek Ranch on your left ... just a mile outside of Virgilina.For those traveling from NYC or New England, we recommend an alternative to the I95 corridor, mainly because the traffic between Washington DC and Fredericksburg, VA is frequently at a standstill. We prefer the Shenandoah Valley route, taking I78 west from the New York city area to Harrisburg, PA, then south on I81 (going right past Hannah and Max's home in Harrisonburg) to I64 at Staunton, VA, east on I64 to the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where you'll exit on Route 250 at Rockfish Gap and go a few miles east before traveling south to Triple Creek Ranch via Virginia state routes 151, 6, 29, 501, and 96. GPS should give you that routing by the time you get to Harrisburg, PA.Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) will be the best arrival airport for most people. Travel time from RDU to Triple Creek Ranch is at least 1 hour and 15 minutes. Travel time from RDU to South Boston, Virginia is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
