Hannah and Cody first met after his mom told him that her and several ladies from work were talking about him. Hannah was one of the girls his mom had told him about and she was apart of that conversation. So Cody decided to look her up and send a message to meet up for coffee.

On their first date Cody's first impression was that Hannah was absolutely gorgeous, funny and that she had the most amazing smile! He thought Atlas was the cutest baby and he couldn't wait to get to know them both better.

The lady's at work had been talking about trying to set Hannah up with somebody even though she had no intentions at the time because she wanted to focus on Atlas. Nevertheless, Hannah agreed to coffee but was extremely nervous. Hannah's first impression of Cody during that first date was that he was a very sweet, laidback, humble, and had the sweetest smile that didn't disappear the entire time they were there.

Some of the first memories Cody had where he thought he wanted to marry Hannah was when her and Atlas came over to family dinner at his brother's house. Seeing her interact with his family and fitting in so well made him feel like she had always been there. On one of their dates where they went to play putt-putt, Atlas came along and they took turns holding him while they played. There was a point where he laid his head against Cody's chest and his heart melted. He was falling in love with Hannah and her son.

If you have ever texted Hannah you know that she is horrible at responding! And the same held true for texting Cody. Despite Hannah taking forever to respond to texts Cody remained patient and understanding. He made sure to help in anyway he could and was always there when she finally responded. Seeing his patience and love come through that and seeing how he loved on Atlas and how much Atlas loved on him just made Hannah's heart melt more and more each time. Hannah would probably say there's no set time she actually knew she wanted to marry Cody but it was more like this was how it was always meant to be. This was how God had planned it and it brought about a peace she didn't know was possible.

The proposal happened on December 9th 2024 at the coffee shop where they had their first date. Cody had started saving for her ring not long after having that feeling at the first family dinner. He bought the ring and couldn't wait because he was SO excited! (Plus, he can't keep anything hidden from her haha). Although they had only been dating for about 6 months, they both felt that God had placed them in each other's lives at just the right time.
